How to Update a Survey Template

Survey templates can be worked on, updated, and saved without affecting any currently published survey templates.  When you are working on changes to a template the Survey Manager will create a new version number for you when your changes are saved.  That version will be unpublished until you are ready to use it in the field.  Below we will go over how to update your template, as well as how to publish it.

Updating an Existing Survey Template

These steps will walk you through to the point of saving your changes.  If you leave the Survey Builder before saving then your changes will be lost.  After you save your changes you can come back and make changes and save as necessary, or you can move on to publishing your changes.

  1. Log in to Pruvan Online
  2. Click Surveys
  3. Select the Survey Template you want to update
  4. Click Revise
  5. Make the changes you want
  6. Click Save
  7. Click Ok
  8. Click Exit

Publishing an Update

Once you complete these steps you will release the updated version to the field.  The previous version will be automatically archived.  This means that any projects that already have the old version will not be affected.  You will only be able to use the new version in newly created projects.

  1. Log in to Pruvan Online
  2. Click Surveys
  3. Select the Survey Template you want to publish
  4. Click Publish
