Pruvan Mobile Upload Manager

The Upload Manager shows you the status of all your items in Pruvan Mobile that are being sent back to Pruvan's Cloud Storage.  You can troubleshoot upload issues and free up space on your device with Clean Up.

Android Overview

The Android Upload Manager has 2 areas, the Top bar and the Item list.

Top Bar

  • Back Arrow - Tap to take you back to the previous screen
  • Item Count - This shows you how many items are in your Item List
  • Edit (pencil) Button - Tapping this allows you to select one or multiple items to delete or retry
  • Clean Up Button - Tapping this button will delete all items from your device with an upload status of 'Upload Complete'

Item Listing

Item Types:

  • Photos and Videos - You'll find this information on each photo entry
    • Date / Time Stamp of when the photo was taken
    • Project ID, Task, and Evidence Type the photo was taken on
    • Upload Status
  • Surveys - You'll find this information on each survey entry
    • Date / Time Stamp of when the survey was completed
    • Project ID and Task name of the Survey
    • Upload Status
  • Events - These items will be listed as entries in your log as well
    • Project Completions
    • Status updates

Thumbnails:

These are the images displayed for each of the item types:

  • Photos have thumbnails of the photo
  • Videos have thumbnails of the preview still
  • Surveys have a file icon
  • Events have the Pruvan logo

Actions:

Photos and Videos

  • Tap to open the Photo Gallery
  • Long Press to open the Edit dialogue

Everything Else

  • Tap or Long Press to open the Edit Dialogue

iOS Overview

The iOS Upload Manager has 3 areas, the Top bar, the Item list, and the Bottom bar.

Top Bar

  • Back Arrow - Tap to take you back to the previous screen
  • Item Count - This shows you how many items are in your Item List
  • Edit Button - Tap this to allow you to select one or multiple items to delete or retry

Item Listing

Item Types:

  • Photos and Videos - You'll find this information on each photo entry

  • Tap a photo to open the Photo Gallery

  • Clean Up Button - Tap this button to delete all items from your device with an upload status of 'Upload Complete'
  • Export Button - Tap this export your Pruvan photos to your Camera Roll

Upload Status

This lets you know where your items are in the process of uploading from your mobile device to Pruvan.  Android and iOS displays the information a little differently but the status's are the same.  In Android the status is listed on the last line of each item.  In iOS the status is marked as a section of items, all items that are in a particular status will be under that section title.

Upload Complete / Complete

These photos have been successfully uploaded to Pruvan Online.  They are safe to remove using the Clean Up feature.

Pending / Ready to Upload

These photos are waiting to upload to Pruvan Online.  Deleting these photos before they are marked complete will result in a permanent loss; do not do it unless you are absolutely sure you do not need the photo(s).  There are many reasons photos can be pending:

  • They are in queue and are just waiting in line
  • Your uploads are paused; this can be because of a setting in your app or lack of network connectivity
  • They are pending another action; such as project completion

Upload Failure / Error

These photos attempted to upload but failed.  The error message will give you more detail as to what exactly went wrong
